ES vs SE

This may of been asked before, but on BMW's whats the difference between a ES model and a SE model? on the 3 series.

ES = useless
SE = usually well specified, but a bit soft.
Sport / M-Sport is where it's at

Depends on which 3 series you're talking about (E46 or E90?) but basically ES trim is rubbish - virtually no kit and manual air conditioning. SE has lots more stuff.

I noticed ES models don't have rear electric windows? thats pritty poor.

ES is crap but it does have electric windows? I had a 320i ES for 6 weeks, that had electric windows..

E90 = Saloon
E91 = Touring
E92 = Coupé
E93 = Convertible

can the SE be specced with just the sports suspension? ive got a e46 320se atm, it feels little different to my old 330ci m sport.......?

No, they were independant options on the SE.

cheers, still regret getting a se over the m sport based on looks alone but it suited my budget better and all ive spent on it in the past year is a set of front pads
