Esata - USB adapter

I have a external 500Gb ESATA drive I use for photos, I want to connect it to my Macbook Pro which doesn't have Esata, i've found a few Esata/USB adapters... Does anyone have any experiencing of using such a thing, and are they reliable? Its just that it'll save me shelling out on a new drive if they work well!

buy an icybox 390

can put the drive in that instead (has esata & usb2) £19.96

It's probably already external though.

yes, but will probably need a driver for that usb->esata dongle, and there may not be apple ones

For anyone who may have wondered, I managed to get an ESATA - USB dongle, and it works fine with the Macbook pro, straight in - no drivers no problem!

Superb bit of kit - connect via USB or eSATA and then just drop the drive in and off you go. Superb for backups - once you fill a hard drive just buy another one.
