Escape from Monkey Island

Ahh the Memories.

Brought it when it first came out and loved it, ive played all the other games when I was at school.

...Just about to re-install it

I never completed it. Got to the last bit where Le Chuck was, with the Big Monkey! but lost the saved games

Anyone still play, or care to remember?

Every year or so i go on a LucasArts adventure spree, Monkey Island, Day of the Tenticle, Sam and Max, Full throttle, and the quite quite superb Grim fandango

Escape from Monkey Island is by far the weakest game in the series.

Whereas I've gone back and completed the others again for fun, Escape would be much lower on my list for games to replay.

escape is number 4 yes? the 3d one? the complete fun less **** one?

the first 2 are classics, the third is my favourite, i just love the jokes and the whole design of that game.. but the 4th, what a waste, 3d was so unnecessary.

i honestly think they could have made a film from the grim fandago story, truley superb, funny and entertaining, one of the games that got the balance right to make me want to play to see what happens

Funny you say that as I was reading a "quote" from Tim Burton saying that he was going to do Grim Fandango. It turned out to be lies but I don't doubt that he'd be the man to do it if anyone was.

However in one of them "curse of monkey island" when you girlfiriend turns to a statue you meet a mysterious talking head named murray

I loved him

Does he turn up in any of the other ones

He makes an appearance in Escape from Monkey Island, though he's lost his charm tbh.
