whats psychonauts, keep hearing about it and even check out the site. Looked like a boring platformer to me :S

All I can suggest is to give the demo a try. I really don't like anything that looks console-y but this game has me hooked. There has obviously been a lot of thought given to design and gameplay and it keeps a smile on your face the whole way through.
And the full version is only 12 quid

Huge fan of all the lucas arts games, first ever game I purchased for the PC was monkey island 2 - great, great memories.
Played all of them and still do regually using the SCUMM emulator.
Only one I never got into was grim fandango, Iver herd great things about it but never got past the first part....never knew why that was.

I still like that 'enabe super 3D' or whaterver it was in the options.
It had all the classic lines;
'I'm Bobin Threadbare, are you my mother?'
'I'm selling these final leather jackets'
...and who could forget 'I'm Guybrush Threepwood, mighty pirate'
MI is what got me into piracy in the first place
I even bought my own demonic skull of death and named him Murray!
