Escaping spam

Gmail does a pretty good job for me with it's spam marking.

Otherwise personal domain as above, and yes, you can have [email protected] and it'll all get redirected to a single account. I mainly use this for maximizing offers that rely on a unique email address, such as free drinks at Pitcher & Piano :p.

I only check emails i am expecting them, like clicking confirmation links when i sign up somewhere.

Its a personal email, not a business one, and as such there is nothing of any importance.

Does GMail allow you to block domains? Every now and then I get some spam in my ancient hotmail account, which I've had since the late 90s, I just bin the domain, unless it's one sent from a compromised hotmail/live/gmail/yahoo etc account

GMail lets you add anything you want to your email address so you can track where the "leak" is coming from as well by adding "+anythingyouwant here" between your address and the @ symbol e.g.

Real address - joe.bloggs+ocuk@gmail.com

I've sometimes wondered if there's any way to spam the spammers, give them a taste of their own medicine so to speak? How satisfying would it be to flood a company's mailbox to such an extent that they experience serious problems? :D

THIS looks quite interesting, wonder if that would do the job?

It's pretty clear that the stuff I'm getting is bot generated, so afraid not (no unsubscribe button either :( ) I'm definitely going to start using the "+whatever" tip when signing up to new sites though
