Essay writing companies...

How sweet, they've got a Valentines Day special of 14% off their prices so you can get your partner the perfect gift of cheating their way through university...

Can't say I've ever used them and I don't think I know anyone who has but I'd be dubious of anyone that promised you a minimum of a 2:1 outright. Maybe it's just me being old fashioned but I wouldn't feel at all comfortable using a service like that, where's the satisfaction in pretending someone elses work is your own?

Ha, looking at the list of subjects they offer essays for on the left hand side of the homepage they don't list engineering, maths, physics or any other real subjects :p

I'm amazed anyone would use these for uni, surely unless you used it for every bit of work you do, it'll be blindingly obvious that it's a completely different written style to everything else you've ever handed in?

Keep getting these essay sites spammed onto the pages of a wiki I contribute to, I wouldn't touch them.

Hey that site 100% works. I did my whole medical studies using that site. Here is a picture of me at work.

On a slight tangent, how do you land a job with an essay writing company?

Wouldn't mind if it paid okay, could churn English essays out like no tomorrow.

Start your own?
Website is pretty much the only startup cost involved i would imagine.

I sold one of my programming courseworks in 1st year, then completely re-wrote it again from scratch.
Nearly died when the plagarism guy came into one of our lectures and asked to speak to the guy i sold it to, but it turned out he had let somebody else copy it exactly so i was fine. (and my second version was even better) An easy tenner - but i wouldnt do it again, the guy obviously didnt know what he was doing and was going to drop out anyway.

disclaimer: if any of my lecturers are reading then this story is a deceitful web of lies, honest :p

But each essay you do normally goes to a different lecturer so it would be easier than you think.

Still wouldn't touch them with a barge pole, in fact if I did use one I would probably end up checking everything anyway, in which case I could have just written it in the first place... Don't they normally advertise as "guides" instead of actual essays to hand in too?

Medicine isn't a real subject?

Law is on there yet accountancy isn't, weird.

Ah well, that makes accountancy a real subject.

I'd imagine the site itself is pretty dubious in terms of legality, so I guess they'd have to know the law pretty well to exist in the first place. :p

I doubt it. All they are doing is giving out their own work, the only thing they (in fact the student using them) are breaking is the plagurism rules at universities, not exactly a major (let alone criminal) offence, except in the uni concerned.

I'm not sure about other Unis but at mine all work is marked anonymously, just has a student candidate number for collection.
