Essential iPhone Apps

I've been using NewsUKPlus since the first iPhone but it's basically a website in an app container, therefore lacking features. I've tried a few RSS readers but few seem to do the job I'm looking for. I don't want to read every news article, just be able to browse them and select the ones that look interesting from the list of sites I regularly visit.

Techcrunch's latest RSS reader recommended is Reeder 2.0 so I might give that a shot.

Please note: I don't just want BBC News or separate apps for separate sites. NewsUKPlus has a tab for different types of news. E.g. tech, world, etc and then lists 4 to 6 sources with the latest 6 stories from each site. This makes browsing the news much simpler.

I highly recommend Printful. You can categorise feeds into folders and it dls the whole content of the articles (rather than just the rss feed snippets) and makes it much easier to read.

Quickbutton may allow you to do this...
 
Guys, I've just installed Lockinfo and the HTC plugin with the weather etc. However, when I resprung the HTC plugin was sat below the Lockinfo sections. I had a look in the settings but cant find a way to have the HTC plugin above the Lockinfo sections. How do you do this?. Ta.
 
Any free or cheap apps that connect to ultra vnc that's running on desktop systems?
All my comps on my LAN run it would be great if I could connect to them from my iPhone 4.

Can anyone suggest an app for me? Needs to be able to connect to an external ip (not just LAN) and connects over 3G.

Goto lockinfo in settings, plugins, plugin order, drag what you want to the top.

Excellent, cheers TimBrad. Finding Lockinfo and it's plugins can be quite confusing to navigate through all the options available.
 
Yeah, it can be, but I love it, just needs some time!

Has anyone had issues with bitesms? Seems to make my iP4 freeze for 12-15 seconds! Taken it off now anxfeels much better! Anything else out there like it?
 
Not sure about BiteSMS, sorry. Also, are u or anyone else having problems getting ringtones to show up that are installed from Cydia?. I used to be able to download and install them fine and they would show up in Settings/Sounds but now, despite Cydia telling me they have been successfully installed, they don't show up in Sounds or anywhere else on the phone?.
