Indeed, they've had it developed months but didnt release it before wasting time (and therefore money) getting the BBC trust to agree it wasn't likely to cause upset for some reason.

There was complaints put in from other companies, therefore they had to investigate it otherwise they would have got their knuckles rapped. So blame the other news companies, not really the BBC's fault.

"The concern the newspaper industry has is that the survival of our big independent news organisations largely depends on them being able to make money from new platforms other than print," said Dominic Ponsford, editor of Press Gazette.

"Mobile is a massive part of that and there is concern that the BBC could blow their fledgling apps out of the water by being such a dominant brand.""

crazy if they are more concerned about other companies, we pay the fees we should be the ones deciding if we get it or not, the papers who milk cash from advertising should stay the **** out of it

why dont hd games work on iphone 4? afaik the only difference in res between the iphone 4 and ipad is taken by the grey bar at the top of an ipad...

I definitely recommend Plunderland! It's a great little pirate game with clever physics and great controls. Makes use of the iPhone 4 retina screen as well.

I just want to upload an image (compressed and not compressed options) and have a direct link to it so i can txt the url.

Tried imageshack but it isnt the best.

Try playing a game designed for a 10" screen on as 3" one, you will find you will run into a few problems.

There is the option to Devs to include higher resolution graphics for the new phone.

No options when uploading for res/compressed, but it's nice and simple and once uploaded you just tap the 'i' button on the bottom right and have a choice of different link codes

Great little game!

BTW, anyone with an iphone 4 thinking of downloading the resident evil 4 app, don't bother, it doesn't work. Being a huge resi fan I was suprised to discover there was an iphone version available, so jumped in head first to download it when I saw it was rated at 3.5 stars and also on a sale price at £1.79!!! Only to discover it is broken. Hopefully there is a fix out for it soon...

Made me think, if you download an app that actually doesn't work at all, is there any way to claim a refund?

Must say my fav app at the mo is whatsapp messenger, now that you can get it for nokia and black berry most of my friends are making the move to using it everyday. Well worth the 59p and adds the one big thing missing from the iPhone when compered to a blackberry.
