Essentials PS3

Hope you dont mind me jumping on the bandwagon but Im in the same predicament but have a slightly different question.

What games should I get for the PS3 that are proper console games? Ive got a decent PC and games like COd4 just arent meant to be played on consoles :p.

Ive already picked up MGS4, GRID, Ratchet and Clank, Motorstorm, Resistance and F1 CE. I know I need to pick up a Dualshock controller and a BD remote - Ive already got a G25 as a wheel so I think Im all sorted there...

I think games and BDs are where Im stuck. Dont want that many as I just dont have the time, just want ones that have to be owned. Im guessing GT5P and Uncharted?

guessed correctly

uncharted was a little short for me and offered a little in the way of replay value
however it was a brilliant game

gt5p is a marmite
i dont like gt so i dont bother
 
Yeah I think driving games (arcade ones) and sports games are best played on consoles so Ill get those (is there a demo of FIFA 09 yet?).

Are the games Ive already got any good? Just went on the name really :p...

Also getting a Logitech USB Vantage headset if I can find one somewhere in stock - wish I could use the Xbox360 one :p

Well I just picked up a dualshock and GT5P for £38 - bargain :D

Just need the remote and headset - not even got the PS3 yet :p

Woot just got Uncharted for a bargainous £11 - though finding it impossible to find the BD remote or that USB headset anywhere :(...

Might wait for the offical PS3 BT headset to turn up and just get that...

Undecided about Play TV and thinking of waiting until the first update to see what Sonys level of support is - need a proper HDTV first as Im stuck using composite at the moment :eek: :(...

So its a planned purchase...

Probably not - Ive debated PlayTV and keep changing my mind - to me its a bit pointless with my PC in the same room which normally is on and has a digiTV card.

Though I dont think Ill start recording TV as Im not that big a watcher - great for background when Im doing something - just dont readily sit in front of the idiot box just watching it (apart from films of coruse).

BTW guys is Ninja Gaiden Sigma any good? Couldnt find any threads dedicated to it? Is it a remake or something?

Bioshock (if it's out yet).

Also, Pro Evo 2008 is absolute garbage, get Fifa 08 instead, or alternately, wait 9 days and get Fifa 09.
 
Bugger Im addicted to buying PS3 games atm - just got Stranglehold and thinking about Burnout Paradise but dont know if I like those over-the-top driving games. Also found the BD remote at a local computer shop :D...

Nokkon - got my FIFA 09 pre-order sorted :)

Only game I think I regret buying is Soul Calibur 4 - just cant get into it - wish there was a Tekken :(

Just need Super Stardust and Wipeout HD and I think thats all Im gonna buy for an age. Oops and Sigma - the demo is sooo cool - is the game?

Erm - will I be ridiculed if I say no?

I dno much about the PSN stuff Im afraid - thought there was only demos and cheap 'crappy' games. Only heard that Super Stardust and Wipeout were worth getting - right?

Not at all, there's loads of other good stuff on the PSN.
