ESXi Lab sanity check please.

I just read about putting the swaps on an SSD earlier today. I'm tempted but it would not really be necessary for me as its a lab server I've got. Probably would not hurt for Hyper-V either.

MUST resist the temptation to pimp my server :P

Some very interesting specs in here!!

Looking through some of the answers here people are mentioning putting upto 16 gig ram into one of the hp ml 110 machines. Does it have to be any particular ram? I know it takes ddr3 ram but is it picky what it will work with or will any do?

Sorry if thats a silly question.

It'll take any flavour of DDR3, but depending what CPU option it has in it the minimum frequency may increase.
If it's running multiple VMs I'd also recommend getting some ECC registered Memory. It will correct some memory errors that might otherwise cause a BSOD. Or in ESXi, a PSOD.
This is all the more important on hypervisors as one memory error resulting in a PSOD doens't just take down one server it could take down 10 at once. I.E your entire Lab in one hit. Which is obviously going to be quite irritating.
