Ethernet cable confusion

You'll want to get rid of anything with a switch mode power supply then (that's near enough all consumer electronics).

Not saying I don't believe EMI sickness sufferers. Actually, no, I am :p

Think this needs moving to GD for the comical value.

A distant family member had the same 'issue' until I questioned why Bluetooth which operates at 2.4GHz was an issue, but Wi-Fi wasn't.

No cable emits any real form of radiation that is going to affect anyone. No more than anything else in the house, best not watch TV and ensure everything with a kettle lead is never turned on.

If you genuinely have some sort of issue that Wi-Fi triggers, then running unshielded data cabling around your house and using powerline adaptors, games consoles and smart TVs would also cause you problems.

I presume you use wired controllers with your Xbox?

Forget the XBox, aren’t you worried they’ll be abducted and sold to the highest bidder? Genuinely being able to detect RF like that is worth a lot of money to some people ;)

what is the difference between CAT 7 and CAT 7E? I just found CAT 7e for sale on that website which everyone uses for buying stuff.
I used CAT 5e for a day and have now switched back to CAT 7. The CAT 5e will probably go to the local charity shop

I do not believe that wireless 5G will do people's health any favours. It may allow people to download netflix movies in seconds but it will disturb the body's organs, cells etc. Is any movie that good that you need it in 5 seconds?

it better be a good movie....

CAT7e doesn’t exist, it’s a marketing term for idiots.

*edit* In previous posts you stated your mother had issues with RF, so you only enabled Wi-fi for ‘half the day’ (I won’t ask where she goes that’s RF shielded/has no electricity for the other half) now you don’t believe wireless 5G will do people’s health any good, yet you have Virgin cable, you purchased a router with 2.4/5Ghz and have an Samsung S7 and Xbox as well as a tablet. If I had a relative who lived with me and genuinely suffered as you suggest, i’d literally have built them a faraday cage with no power or data run within several feet.

If wireless and other EMI makes the OP and/or his family ill then he's asking for medical advice. That's against forum rules and the thread should be locked or deleted. :p

People are trying to explain that the reason you're seeing poor speeds is because of your powerline adaptors, not the cables you've used.
