=)
I picked up a 30metre cable for £7 inc. It's a competitor though, let's just say it's an auction site.![]()
Bugger all, also you'd have fun running that with the ends still on![]()
Screw mahoosive cat5 trailing all over the shop. This is what you want:

Get flat cable this is the one I use works perfectly fine running about 20 meters worth at mo and it's cheap as chips.

OP: The manufacturing process will make cables probably 1km long then cut them up. The cable will cost something like 2-5p a metre to produce.
Something else to think about - Normal music cd cases (the cheap sort that break easily and are the same material as ps1 and dreamcast game boxes) cost 1 US cent for 8 to manufacture!
Selling 30m of cat5 cable for even £10 is a serious mark-up on the manufacture cost. A standard high-street shop will charge £1 a metre because they can.

lol...high-street shops are such rip-offs!!
They are, but I would sell something that costs me £1 for £10 if I could!
My view is 'if people are stupid enough to pay it...'
