Hi guys

Basically i plug it into my PC and to the hub both lights are on at both ends but nothing happens, tried rebooting the hub and PC but same result. I checked in device manager and the ethernet controller isn't under network adapters but under other devices with an amber warning sign, tried updating drivers but can't find any. any help?

Have you tired a different cable?

Maybe the one you have is a crossover and you need a straight through.

This'll be the cause of the problem. Are you running XP?
Is the network card built into the motherboard or a separate expansion card?

right-click and select properties for the ethernet controller and see what options it gives you?

Or,if you have the driver installation CD for the mobo and can select to then delete and re-install the ethernet controller driver.
