Ethernet cabling

hi

Thinking about getting an Asus RT-N66U router so then I can put my vm superhub into modem mode.

I would then be able to move the Asus to a better location but I would need to run 3 ethernet cables to it as I have a few devices near my tv that need wired connection .

All I need to know is, is it ok to run ethernet cables together or would it create interference/heat?

Could you reduce the cables down to one by using a network switch at the TV end?

Don't forgot there's often an option of going straight through external walls and running cables externally.

I guess , would a network switch have any decrease in performance issues?

although I think I would still need to run 2 cables anyway, 1 for the superhub and the other for the network switch?

A single Gigabit link between your router and the TV should be plenty. Most TVs and associated devices only have 10/100 ports on them anyway.

You may need two cables, it'll depend on where the Superhub is located.

yeah 2 cables so really a network switch would not be worth it

Its because I have a slingbox and a ethernet wall socket located behind the tv which runs a wired connection to the back of the house where I have a wired connected pc

Just have to think of best way to conseal 3 cables I think.
