For the extra few quid a switch is a better bet than a hub, especially if in time you add more devices.

No it's not telehouse, but the poster is right.

A switch is better than a hub as a hub just sends data to all available ports assuming that the device that should receive the data thats being sent will pick it up.

Whereas a switch sends the data to the specific port and device that it's intended therefore cutting down on network traffic and collisions.

However if you think your never gonna go past 2 devices then your quite right in thinking there wont be much difference in them.
