Due to the staggering response to their 'advertisement' for clans to join their ongoing Closed Beta testing, id and Activision are no longer able to accept any more applications at this time.

EDIT (2007-03-21, 19:30 CET): Clan recruiting phase is over, since there are "more than enough applicants and a mountain of emails to read". But undoubtedly there will a next recruting phase soon, so stay alert
