Just played strogg and discovered the plane on top of the building,

How the hell do you control that thing
I officially suck at flying it :(

It takes a little getting used too, but once you do it's actually quite easy.

I actually love the vehicles. Lots hate them because they are not easy to use like BF2 etc. However I think that's good as it means you don't get the "mine mine mine" you get in BF2! The game is well balanced between infantry and vehicles too.

They are easy to use though, very easy. They are just bad.

I've tried the chopper thing, easily the hardest vehicle to control, but still much easier to fly than the choppers on BF2 (try to remember the first time you flew one).

They are sometimes difficult in that they have such clunky controls it's pretty easy to hit a wall or flip a tank on a pebble.

Screenshots on official websites are always taken at max everything at the best possible location. Usually with the objects manually placed for best results. Not from someone randomly pressing print-screen while playing. If you look at the screenshots and find a comparable location in the game at the same angle etc you will see that they are indeed very similar.

I've just done a quick comparison shot of the only one on the site that I can see is from the beta map. Note that my PC is running at medium settings, 1280x1024 and 2xAA.

Not a HUGE difference, considering!

The indoor parts of the beta look "ok" from what I've seen - it's the outdoor stuff that looks really poor in my opinion.

. BF2 choppers were well easy to fly and were dumbed down with auto hover :(. Now the Desert combat choppers , they were hard to fly , actually had to put some effort in to even take off.

I quite like the flying bug on this , but it seems to have no counter measures , get locked onto by a AVT and you are pretty much done unless you can fly out of range :(. Unless there are some and I just haven't found em :(.

Are you not thinking of 2142? The helicopters I fly on BF2 don't have auto hover!

if you let go of everything theyll level themselves out etc or you can just hold backwards and itll reduce speed and level a bit faster and come under control.
I never could understand why some people found copters so difficult in bf2 :) 2142 just made them boring though :)
