I'm back baby!
Ordered 4 tyres from them today at 3:15. Just been contacted by a local tyre fitter who has confirmed I'm the first job on his list tomorrow morning.

Obviously he hasn't turned up yet but the garage that is doing it did my MOT last year, so I'm confident that he'll do a decent job, but the service from etyres has been great. They contacted me 3 times in 25 mins trying to confirm my postcode during my journey home tonight.

Black Circles took nearly a week to come back to me. In comparison they're... well, there is no comparison :)

Ha! I just ordered a set from them... I saw this thread and I thought it probably would be "they're ****!".

Good to hear! Came in cheaper than the locals as well.

it helps to shop around, a localish tyre place (AP tyres rotherham) are usually cheaper than everyone online and have lots in stock, if not next day.

I have a nail in my rear tyre, I didn't really have time to shop around. I checked the local place I usually use and these were cheaper, that was enough for me :)

I agree etyres are pretty damn good, used them when I had my 'incident' a few weeks back and couldn't fault the service, came next day bang on the time they said and was done in about 10mins. 5% discount too as I work for BT so was very well priced, would definately use them again.

I'm sure its worth the £3000000 premium over Mytyres or haggling with your local tyre depot :)

The last couple of purchases I've made have been through etyres and on both occasions they were cheaper than the same tyre at mytyres and blackcircles. Also, there are no hidden costs like mytyres have regarding disposal of the old tyres etc. What you see is what you pay for. Then you take into account convenience. Etyres come to you where you want, home, work, wherever. No having to drive to some crummy garage and wait around for ages whilst they **** about.

Got a pair of new tyres from them the other week service was excellent, called me about 30mins after ordering to confirm they would be with me the following afternoon, came in cheapest and the service from the guy that came out was second to none, as he came back out the next day and fixed my mums two slow punctures for free.

on the contrary, i had great service from blackcircles, great comms etc, i only ordered 2 eagle F1's

E-tyres have a fantastic service. Bought 4 Toyos a few months back and was prepared to pay a slight premium for the convenience of them coming to me, rather than me finding lobbing tyres into the boot of my car and then having to go down to a local tyre place and wasting a morning getting it fitted. I also haggled with them and they knocked off 5% off their usual prices. They also offer puncture repairs for the life of tyre included in the price where they come to you to do the repair.

Get webprice. Ring local place:

'I found them cheaper on X website'

'Ok we will match that'

Why bother if the local place are only matching the price and not beating it? Oh and why would you rather waste a couple of hours going to the garage than having someone come to you?

is the quality of their fitting and balancing comparable to regular machines?
Do they have some sort of portable unit?

It pays to shop around. I lwas looking for some ZZ3's or Eagle F1 GSD3's for the Saab. BC were expensive, I felt. ETyres promised me a good deal, then rang back and said they didn't have any of either tyre until next week sometime and would I consider something else (mine were pretty bald and I was driving to London in a couple of days and wanted them pretty much ASAP). I declined.

Then I rang Hi-Q Walkers in Leicester (I was going over that evening to see friends anyway) and asked about ZZ3's first. Sorry, he said, but we've got GSD3's on special, if they're any good? I paid about £90 each for a pair of 225/45R17's, which was cheaper than etyres anyway. And I didn't even have to haggle :D
