The draw will take place on the 2nd of December and the seeding pots are the following;

Pot 1
Spain
Holland
Ukraine (hosts)
Poland (hosts)

Pot 2
Germany
England
Italy
Russia

Pot 3
Croatia
Sweden
Greece
Portugal

Pot 4
Denmark
Ireland
France
Czech Rep.

I wouldn't be happy if I was Holland/Spain. Putting 2 of the weakest teams in Pot 1 turns the advantage of being top seed into a disadvantage, because instead of avoiding Germany/Italy/England they are avoiding Ukraine/Poland.

Pot 2 looks like a better pot to be in as it is, though England could still end up in a Spain/England/Portugal/France group (ouch), but it could well be Ukraine/England/Greece/Ireland.

Also, lol if we get the 'financial crisis' group, Spain/Italy/Greece or Portugal/Ireland :)

The draw is at 17:00 (18:00 CET) today.

Draw process

The 16 teams will be drawn into four groups of four teams each (Groups A to D). Four seeding pots will be created, with the host associations Poland and Ukraine being top seeds. Poland will be automatically placed in Group A, as A1, Ukraine in Group D, as D1.

The remaining teams have been allocated to the four pots according to their respective national team coefficients.

Pot 1: Spain, Netherlands
Pot 2: Germany, Italy, England, Russia
Pot 3: Croatia, Greece, Portugal, Sweden
Pot 4: Denmark, France, Czech Republic, Republic of Ireland

The draw will start with Pot 1 in order to fill position one in Groups B and C. The draw will continue with Pot 4, from which a team will be allocated to each group consecutively, from Group A to Group D. This procedure will then be repeated for Pot 3 and finally for Pot 2.

The position of each team within its group (2, 3 or 4) will also be determined during the draw

My draw:

Poland/Russia/Greece/Republic of Ireland
Spain/Italy/Portugal/France
Netherlands/Germany/Croatia/Czech Republic
Ukraine/England/Sweden/Denmark

:D

If anyone can name England's group correctly, they will win a free 'Eden Lake' blu ray off me!

If more than one poster names it correctly, the prize will go to the one that was posted 1st.

Obviously mine are just for fun:

Poland
England
Sweden
Ireland

:)

Ireland to win it :D. Is it just me or has Euro 2012 just crept up quite quietly? Sure there were the qualifiers but they just seemed to mix in with the friendlies etc.
