Euro 2012 Group Draw - Seeding pots

Tricky for Italy that one.

England have an easy group but Ukraine in the last game will be tricky if both teams are in with a chance of qualification but haven't secured it yet. Group B is going to be brilliant to watch.

Can't see France having another meltdown so will be hoping England do instead :D. I don't see how announcing Capello's successor before the tournament even starts is going to help matters.

Cant wait to see the Republic take on Italy again :D (after the 2010 quali group)

We all said England had an easy 2010 group too... So I'm tipping the Republic to magic through and have a final against the Czech Republic ;)

I reckon the REP might shock a lot of people in that group. I can't really predict whats going to happen with England. I guess I would have liked to see us in a group of death rather us thinking we're expected to progress. It all comes down to who Capello decides to take, leaveing Walcott and Parker behind last year was a big mistake.

Group of Death? Tenuous. Denmark won't do much, and Portugal aren't all that. Germany and the Dutch will wipe the floor with them.

We'll come second and go out to Russia/Spain/Germany in the quarters. But at least Rooney will get to play (HOORAY!).

Goody, the low expectations start now so that when we win our group easily, we'll get a week or so of "we're gonna win the world cup" before we get thrashed by someone half decent.

France are rubbish at the moment, Sweden have a few good players but a poor overall team and Ukraine, the odd excellent game but simply no where near good enough.

Teams as they are, England would beat each of those teams more often than not.

Holland can turn it on against the minnows, but till Brazil imploded they were being beaten by a VERY average/poor Brazil side, and got absolutely outplayed in the final.

Their run to the final was painfully easy and they still narrowly beat Japan(1-0), cameroon (2-1), Slovakia(2-1) and Brazil (2-1). They didn't exactly go out there like other teams and bang 5 past anyone. They aren't any where near as good as people think, they didn't play even close to a top side till Brazil, who were poor and winning and dominating till Melo imploded the team. Hell, the ONLY even close to average team in their draw managed to take 3 points off them in the group stage for the Euro's, they've had it painfully easy and there won't be a team remotely close to San Marino in the finals.

Portugal are an unknown, they can be brilliant and woeful one game to the next, they could easily come ahead of Holland, or come last. Aside from Germany going through, that group is pretty open.

Reason is Capello thinks the important thing is to have a base with good facilites where you feel comfortable rather than some dodgy site that's been thrown together at the last minute closer in.

FA are setting themselves up for a bit of a fall there, if England struggle you know the media will be all over this story, blaming the travelling.
