Seriously somebody needs to get this straight I'm confused, I hear you can upgrade from vista using a windows 7 upgrade voucher, then I hear you can't in Europe but instead the retail price until 31st December will only be £69.99 I think and then you guys on overclockers uk have the vista + W7 upgrade voucher?

See the confusion :D

Basically in short can I buy this http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=SW-118-MS&groupid=33&catid=20&subcat=
and upgrade to windows 7 on release without problems in Europe, oh and who sends the upgrade disk?

Thankyou

You can upgrade legally but as it says
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
The Windows 7 Upgrade Option Programme requires a clean installation of the Windows 7 upgrade media. All personal data and settings, including documents, pictures, files, programs, music and video, should be backed-up prior to performing the clean installation of Windows 7. After installation of Windows 7, the end user should then re-install all personal data and settings. Visit http://windows.microsoft.com/upgrade-windows-E for important information

So you would have to do a reinstall of everything or use the migration tool. Normally the OEM ie OC send out the new cd\dvd

I read another post on a different forum I understand it now

What I was confused by is people saying there was no upgrade, what they meant by that is upgrade version but instead the upgrade for us EU people will actually be a full retail

Thanks

if you want a new OS now then go for vista. ocuk would not sell you vista with win7 voucher if you could not use it. as the offer states, you will receive a copy around the time it is released to the general public. if you want specific details about the offer you should call ocuk customer services
