European Grand Prix 2012, Valencia - Race 8/20

I don't get why you'd punish a guy when he's had to drive round with a flat tire and pit to change his nose anyway.

FIA seem to do it all of the time. Fair enough if you cause an accident and skip away damage-free, but if you've cost yourself places/time by getting damaged too, surely that in itself is fair punishment?
 
Vettel leading the race by 20s and in complete control, having much fresher tyres than the guy in 2nd.

He started in pole.
Is leading the current race.
He will lead the championship if he wins this race.
This is looking very similar to what we saw last year and the year before.

Yep. What's the point in giving him an extra 20 secs when he's over a lap down
 
That was dodgy as hell from Vergne.

Never mind, his place with Toro Rosso is in doubt for next year.
That tyre absolutely wrecked some of the rear bodywork there.

Oh joy... 2.9 second stop and a god awful one. :rolleyes:
