Not surprised in the slightest if a game in England is found to be dodgy.

I would be Very surprised if the English team involved (unless it was a final I guess, which therefore means an English team might not be involved) was anything to do with the rigging itself.
 
It has mostly to do with **** teams so i would definitely rule out english teams match fixing because the players in england are payed very well, most of it would be lower leagues where people are payed a basic wage.
 
According to some Danish paper, it was the Liverpool - Debrecen CL match. Supposedly their keeper was paid to let in 3+ goals. The game ended 1-0.

edit: Supposedly the keeper in question had already been banned for match-fixing too.

If that is the case then it is ridiculous in the way they phrased the entire thing, letting rumours go crazy about English football.

Just have to read international forums with nearly all the attention being given to the English element.
 
I like the attitude that corruption in football is clearly something that never happens in English football :p.
 
What gentlemens we are, we probably caught wind of it and decided not to score 3, should be rewarded with a CL spot to be honest
 
So even though the oppositions goal keeper was bribed to let in 3 goals. Liverpool could still only manage to score 1. :D
 
I always assumed it would be more the referees that were bought in top level games. Letting in a goal as a keeper is tricky as hell to make look like a genuine mistake when it isn't. Not massively surprised that the keeper told to let in 3 only let in 1.

To the person who said that last years EPL win for City was fishy are just deluding themselves. We could have easily made sure we won the league last year when we were 8 points clear. That would have to have been a masterplan worthy of Moriarty to plan United dropping those points and City scoring in literally the last moments of the league to win it.
