Eurovision Song Contest is looking up this year

Wouldn't have thought so. The best singer in the world Cliff Richard was in it twice. Katrina & The Waves was another and I'm sure the list goes on.

I was watching Lordi the other night on a Download special.
The singer says it takes 3 hours to get made up

abba also won it several times
as far as i'm aware they cant have previously released the song, and most people just wouldnt do it, which is why it's hardly A-list acts representing most of the countries

From the article:

Finnish online chatrooms are full of comments from people concerned about their country's reputation abroad.

I don't see why, I think it's great personally

"on the day of rockening"

Best.Eurovision.Band.Evar

I normally give eurovision a miss due the utter crap on it, not even worth it for the comedy value but this band are amazing. :D

Also... Only in Finland. I know Finnish people and they are all crazy :p

I think it's fantastic for Eurovision that this band has entered. It's been full of dreadful cheesy chart pop for ages and ages now and has turned into a real joke. This should give the competition a breath of fresh air and it might actually start turning out some good entries.

Oh its so going to be watched.

Edit:

I have just heard, Hard Rock Hallelujah.... and oh boy Wogan is going to rip them apart.

:D

I never understand the eurovision, is there a rule where you can't have a band that has had a real recording contract?

What is to stop Iceland getting Bjork to do it and just pwning the competition, or Moldova bringing Ozone in?

Numa Numa Yei.... :p

Why on earth would Bjork want to sing in the Eurovision?!!! :D :D

Why not?

Iceland should bring in Mínus if Finland has Lordi.

*n

Small thing called credibility. I cant imagine any major artist wanting to associate themselves with the Eurovision. They would be ridiculed imo.:)

Katrina and the Waves ("Walking on Sunshine") won in 1997 with "Love Shine a Light" by a record points margin.

Oh yes, they do some great stuff if you just listen and don't look.
