Cant belive the UK voted for scooch, there total rubbish really, music is ok, but all that prop crap and the other stuff in it made it total rubbish.

Scooch were awesome. Those 2 girls (and the euro voting chicks) are what made watching this with the other half possible!

The alternatives were worse tbh.

I suppose we could have had Justin Hawkins storming out of Eurovision in a hissy fit instead like he did in 'a song for Europe'.

Would have been a bit more entertaining.

The singing was crap, those 2 girls were nothing special tbh and the whole performance I thought was silly, I did not watch it when they were voting who to send to the eurovision.

This contest gives a decent idea about the relative sizes of immigrant communities round western Europe(Turkey comes to mind big time...). It looked as the EE countries would be dominating but then lets not forget who won last year so if someone is to win, they would need more than "neighbor" votes and the Serbian song had that edge(as did Lordi last year).

I havent read this whole thread, but they need to add another rule to it if you ask me:-
You cant vote for your own country AND you cant vote for a country whose geographical border touches your own.

Scooch rocked last night, sooooooo many of the songs were depressing, and Terry Wogan was the only thing that made it worthwhile. I did have Serbia in the sweepstake though - completely by random - so I am quids in today.

We could have been beaten by a two year old though, cos he had Ukraine!

I just don't understand it.. The judges that pick the acts for the UK must be having a laugh. Year after year after year after year we have appalling entries with NO chance of winning. When will they learn that you need half decent music for a chance of doing well.

This would disadvantage the Scandinavian countries but not the EEs. It is well known that the Turkish got HUGE disasporas in countries like Germany, the UK, Denmark, Austria and such. Romanians are similar for Spain and Italy(and maybe the UK soon

) and so on.

And Scooch rocking? It was a cheesy song hoping for cheesy votes but found their master in the face of Ukraine.
