I really like the look of these, but now I’ve been in one I’m surprised by how big of a car it feels on the road.

I really like the look of these, but now I’ve been in one I’m surprised by how big of a car it feels on the road.
I noticed the road/wind noise too though it didn't particularly bother me considering the class of car (that feels stupid to say given the list price, but it's not a double glazed luxury product), I'm also not convinced that (most) ICE's don't offer some sort of contributory noise even if it's something you subconsciously tune out to. I don't have many reference points to compare to though so could well be worse than other electric cars.
The one I drove was a gt line S too

I’ll look at that later. I think there’s a fleet of Taxi in Oslo already with wireless of about 16 IPACES.
Hyundi Ioniq, VD ID.3, MG MG ZS EV, MG MG5 SW, Mini Electric... this list goes on.
What do you want from a car, size, internal space, features?
Thanks for the suggestions. I've seen a few good reviews for the Ioniq.
Enough space and room for 2 car seats in the back.
Would ideally like to avoid tacky interiors but at the price range may not be an option.
Would prefer decent smooth tech.
I'd get yourself on some test drives tbh.
I love my Ioniq, it's mega efficient, plenty of up to date technology, comfortable, decent range in summer and winter. The only down side is if you like to do lots and lots of long trips then the DC charging rate isn't that fast, but it only has a 38kWh battery so that is somewhat negated. Cost wise, I've seen 20 plated models with less than 10k on the clock for £22k.

The Kona and Nero are the two front runner for <£30k bracket. For that money you'll easily get a used long range versions. The long range Kona will do 260-280 miles on a charge, the Nero slightly less as its a bit bigger. The I think the cheaper short range versions are still good for 170-190 miles on a charge. Brand new you are looking at £35k, older cars are of course cheaper and these have been on the market for 3 years now.
Brand new Corsa, Mokka, 208, 2008 are all in that price bracket too, all good cars and fit well into that small 'school run car' territory.
Well the short range Kona and Nero are both still decent and a decent chunk cheaper so happy days

What's the standard spec on an i3 like? Do you get heated seats, steering wheel etc.? When did they do the face lift with the much better/upgraded Infotaiment?
Can’t comment on standard spec as I’m not in the UK. Don’t believe they come with heated steering wheels and electric seats aren’t available either. Like most BMWs though, you’ll need to find one with heated seats and Pro Nav, etc. Mine has the sunroof which, along with beige wool and light eucalyptus wood, really lifts the cabin. HK audio is decent and the LED lights are pretty good, even though main beam are normal halogens.
I love mine as it’ll beat most things off the line and has been absolutely faultless in the 2 years I’ve had it so far. However, the adaptive cruise is far too temperamental and the range is pathetic as it’s the 60Ah BEV, but as a commuting/second car it’s perfect for our needs and I don’t feel guilty doing very short journeys as there is no need for mechanical sympathy.
