Looks like this week will be the first test of how the chilly weather affects my range
Charged my Taycan GTS last night at home on my Zappi and my 100% charge has dropped by about 10 miles or so. Last night was the coldest it's been of late.

Yeah i'm starting to notice efficiency drop, 5c leaving home this morning.
got 4.4m/kwh on the way into the office today, used 17% of the battery, was only using 11-12% in the summer whilst getting 5.5~
But that was preheating the car before i left, heater on, heated seats and cruise still set to 70, i still think that's pretty good going.
My average on the past 800 miles seems to be 34.8kw/100 miles so 2.87 miles/kWh?This was the first two years of my Polestar - the wavy line as you go through winter and summer becomes obvious when you make a graph out of it
Almost like we're having a general discussion about something that we notice with our EVs.Ah winter here. Cue loads of posts about range dropping and peoples daily routine heating the car. Pre heating is like pre drilling a hole
Don't forget water in headlamps and windscreens misting up, although not a specific EV trait...Ah winter here. Cue loads of posts about range dropping and peoples daily routine heating the car. Pre heating is like pre drilling a hole
No it's not, I've got a tumble drier and having an EV tariff now means I don't cry when I turn it onIts also harder to dry clothes in this weather.

if I get 10% mpg difference on an ICE into/against the wind on journey legs, and that is only 30% efficient , then on a 85% efficient ev energy goes up nearly 30%will we? Some of us don’t need to wait.
