EV general discussion

I get 4.5 in the summer. But that plummets in winter due to heating going on and cold weather obviously. Heatpump could help but that is like a £900 optional even on top trim.

I saw this earlier, with the state of tech at the moment there really is very little stopping most people getting an EV these days

It isn't so much the cars (ignoring affordability) but the charging network which hinders most people adopting an EV (some of that functional some of that people getting over the mental experience hump) - it is so dysfunctional we don't invest up front in a standardised charging network and rapid charging.

On a sort of related note - noticed Google Maps had updated recently for the road I used to live on and nearly every house on the opposite side to the side I lived on which didn't have drives have dug up their front gardens to make parking spaces, which looks really odd, talking to someone who still lives there they said it was due to EV adoption though I can only see one with a charging point installed at the time Street View was updated.

Upset some guy in an RS4 today his Wife/Girlfriend was not amused. It was another Pop & Bang thing sounded bloody awful so well deserved. At the next lights he had a bit of a loser fit and floored it almost loosing the backend on the roundabout in the process. Still managed 3.3 mpkwh today even with a little spirited driving maybe I need to try harder.

What a noob, all he had to do was wait for a motorway section where you all start tailgating lorries at 60mph.

I have seen plenty nobs on motorways too. Weaving in and out passing everyone like a mad man.

I sometimes expect to see the vehicle further down totalled.
