Evaluate my build, am new to all this!

This is a good choice as well better amount of ram and can always upgrade the cpu cooler later at little extra cost. Personally if I was you even if you have to save a little longer I would go with the i5 2500k, as when you start to lack in performance you want just overclock it. You dont have this option on the i3. :)

kingken93 You shouldn't post links to competitors, it's against the rules.

EDIT: Stulid: you always seem to lurking everywhere lately.;)

ahhhh my bad, think it ends up cheaper from overclockers anyways. Yeah the new build is

Gigabyte GA-Z68AP-D3 Z68 Socket 1155 8 Channel Audio ATX Motherboard (85)

Corsair 8GB (2X4GB) DDR3 1600Mhz Red Vengeance Memory Kit CL9 (9-9-9-24) 1.5V (37)

Asus GTX 560Ti DirectCU II 1GB GDDR5 Dual DVI Mini HDMI PCI-E Graphics Card (172)

Casecom 6788 All Black Case (30)

Antec TruePower New 650W Modular PSU (70)

Seagate 500GB 3.5" SATA-III 6Gb/s Barracuda Hard Drive 7200RPM 16MB Cache (64)

Samsung SH-222AB 22x DVD±RW DL & RAM SATA Optical Drive - OEM Black (12)

Intel Core i5 2500K 3.3GHz Socket 1155 6MB Cache Retail Boxed Processor (172)

And I guess I should invest in 4/5 more fans.

Also is it worth forking out extra for i7?

thanks for you patience haha

It's not worth forking out for an i7 if gaming is your main use. The i5 will be just as fast for gaming.
