Eve noob - where do i start.

also, i would advise you use your 100% training time boost on your learning skills

It will cut down on your training time dramatically once your boost ends (1.6mil SP)

Instant Recall level I
Analytical Mind level I
Learning Level I
Instant Recall level II
Analytical Mind level II
Learning Level II
Instant Recall level III
Analytical Mind level III
Learning Level III
Instant Recall level IV
Eidetic Memory I
Eidetic Memory II
Eidetic Memory III

Analytical Mind level IV
Learning Level IV
Logic I
Logic II
Logic III1
Eidetic Memory IV
Logic IV
Instant Recall level V
Analytical Mind V
Eidetic Memory V
Logic V
Learning V

after that, look at Spatial Awarness, Iron Will, Clarity, Emphaty, Presence and Focus if you have any room left in you 100% boost.

Also, remap your attributes before you start any training. use your first remap (for the learning skills) as 9 for intel, 15 for memory and 5 on charisma, willpower and perception. After youve finished your learning skills, use your spare remap for Perception 15, Willpower 9, intelligence charisma and memory 5 - this will result in you taking the least amount of time learning ship and gunnery skills etc for PvP goodness.;)

Eidetic Memory costs like 4mil isk. Has this gone up in price because if it has then no way can this be done in the trial.

The 4m part is easy on a trial account I had near 2m after the tutorials. Got about 7m isk now and not played much. Still got 10 days trial to play too.

The learning skills are the boring bit as you don't get anything new out of your character, but when you can, get some implants as well to boost your attributes even further and then you will be able to start going through your skills nice and quickly.

If you want to play ahead a bit, I'd recommend using EveMon as well - a great program!

Used to play EVE a long time ago. I tried to go back to it a few months back now, and couldn't log into my account. I had problems resetting the password, I had another account and saw my old account log in (?).

I messaged 'me' and I had apparently sold the account to this person (news to me). I submitted a ticket and to cut a long story short the GM told me they wouldn't do anything, because it had been so long since I'd lost the account, and the thief had built my character up so high, that it would be unfair for them to take it back (!!)

I kid yee not. I have e-mails where they agree the account was mine as I could prove it via the creation details e-mails etc, but they were not prepared to do anything because I'd left/come back, it had been 'too long' and all his work would be wasted.

Unbelievable, and A+ customer service. Nothing to do with this thread, just thought I'd share. Needless to say I no longer play this game.

Ouch that sucks - and it's quite shocking too! I guess they have nothing to say that you didn't sell your account to the other person and are just trying to get it back maybe.

You'll know when you're no longer an Eve noob...

You'll find this funny.

Odd, my trial missions were like 12 in total and measly amounts, like 10-50k ISK.

O-o

I sold everything and got salvaging up as there were loads of wrecks on the missions plus mined whatever I saw in deadspace nodes.

Don't be afraid to enter kill missions with guns then fly home and get mining laser and salvager and head back to the node.

Obviously don't complete the mission yet with the agent or wait until after the server down-time if you've completed the objectives otherwise it will all be gone!

You uninstall the game before the game eats you.

Eve is by far the most new player unfriendly game you can ever get.

That is exactly right!
