Event 41 Kernel Power Error

Hey guys.

I have a problem that's developed with my PC, it has only happened twice so far. When I play MoH both screens turn black, and the computer becomes unresponsive. I have to leave it and shut it down, once I have logged back on again and checked the event log it says there was an "Event 41, Kernel Power Error." However, I left my PC for a few minutes once when this happened and the screen developed artifacts on it, but with no moving images and still unresponsive.

The description of this error is as follows "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly."

I'm thinking that the error could be PSU related, as I might not have enough power to run my system.

Any help will be greatly appreciated :)

The Corsair will run that system without breaking a sweat.

By mentioning artefacts I seem to go with a possible gpu fault.

Have tried running any stress testing software like Prime 95 and vantage to check the CPU and gpu.

Download mem test and check your memory for any problems.

I've run Prime95 Tests, Windows Memory Diagnostic and Kombustor to stress test the components, they all passed, so I'm a little stumped as to what it can be :/

well how old is the system and how long between these two events?

i would try memtest instead of WMD and are you running prime and kombustor seperately or together?

If its just started happening but is fine on tests then it could be the beginning of something failing (My initial guess would be the graphics), or it could just be an anomaly. I presume temps are ok?

About 3 Months old.

One event happened last week, the other tonight.

Okay, I will run that :)

Temps for the GPU are 40C idle and 65C load.

And yes, I ran both at the same time.
