I have a quick question in regards to Event Viewer.
One of our clients at work reported all their machines freezing / going slow around a certain time. I have checked their Event viewer log files but found nothing, is there anything like Event Viewer on Windows XP that tells you about performance level at a certain time or even network issues that you wouldnt find in Event Viewer?

Thanks

I've used them on WHS to diagnose what turned out to be a driver and interrupt issue but not used them on win 7. I think performance monitor is installed as standard on win 7 (it's on my win7 ulitmate install here). Kernrate is, IIRC, one of the sysinternals tools - whether it plays nice with win7 I'm not sure but you may not need it unless you're trying to work out what time is being spent handling interrupts.
