Ever 'met' a sleeper ?

Because simply dropping a two litre turbo lump into a nova and chopping the springs a bit is all that there is to it!
Who said it was?

Decent suspension, wide wheels and sticky rubber works well enough.

With 250 at the wheels its not going to just grip and go is it now, going to wheelspin all over the show.

As I said, off the line most FWD cars are gash...When already rolling, they don't have that disadvantage. If they get the holeshot, you're ****ed.

Look guys, I've got nitrous!!

economical with the truth? where you there? No you where not. Did I see blue flames coming from his exaust..YES did it then shoot off.. YES.

Doesn't mean it has nitrous though. Nitrous is easily and quickly used so if people do use it on the road they'll use it sparingly.

you dont believe me then fair enough but dont dare accuse me of being a liar.

I've often wondered why people seem to think being accused of telling porkies is on a par with being accused of, say, murder.

What about all the road cars running low nines, high eights, low eights, high sevens...?

I'd love to see "all the road cars" running nines eights and sevens.

There is one proven car that has run a 7.95 the Vauxhall victor with drag slicks, nothing else has even come close in street trim, the european record for a 4WD car on full drag slicks is 8.2, http://www.sumopower.com/drag_news_07.htm those are my pictures.

The street class at japshow now runs to a 10 second index because there arn't any street cars which are running anywhere near nines with the exception of the lemon, and nearly all the drag cars running in the various low end classes in the NHRA events are nothing like road legal, with the exception of the Vauxhall victor I mentioned above, and that run wasn;t in anything like street trim.

Well that would be due to the fact im not telling "porkies" if however you dont believe me or would like to refute what I am saying then do so. Eg. must have been a large turbo and the blue flames where because..

Its simple if you feel its incorrect then correct dont just claim there telling porkies.

Red Victor runs 7.67 at 188mph on FULLY TREADED ROAD TYRES and pump fuel. It runs the same on the street as on the track.

I don't often use this but it's most certainly deserved in this case:

What power do reasonably fettled "D" Reg Escort rs Turbo's make these days?

not 100% a sleeper, but the dude backed me right up on the sliproad onto the motorway before proceeding to boot it away from me (i was cruising in 3rd when he backed me up to 10-20mph obviously WELL out of my powerband). then proceeded to undertake me lol before flashing his hazards at me lol.

even on the roundabout proceeding the sliproad i could smell petrol when he moved and then i could smell loads on the slip, so im presuming he was either, without CAT, or running a tad rich.

Nice. But for ultimate win, that engine in a standard-looking Merit with wide steels, sticky rubber and mismatched hubcaps.

:D

lol, bonnet vent is essential im afraid. No one expects that sort of power so it is kind of a sleeper. Rough spec is 2.0l 16v turbo at just under 300bhp, this is adjustable incar so most day to day driving is at about 230bhp. 6 speed gearbox, coilovers, 300mm brakes, needless to say everything is sorted underneath.
