Ever-so-slightly random question

Bit of an odd one this, but here goes. The Institute Of Mechanical Engineers sent out their seasons greetings e-mail, and the president closed it with "Yours aye". Anyone on here ever seen a letter/e-mail/whatever closed with that? My grandfather (a fellow of the IMechE) had never seen it before and was a tad confused.
