Ever thought of travelling for a while?

I would love to do a trip like that, but I often find myself quite "uncreative" and I like my creature comforts.

So it would be like... get a trip to Sydney... erm... ok what from there? Do what? See what? How long for?

Plus staying at a decent place (i wouldnt be slumming it ever) the cost soon racks up...

Has someone put together a guide of places to go, things to see and people to meet, for people who like comfort :)?

If you want a gentle introduction and don't like the planning/ideas side then maybe look into the products provided by the likes of Gadventures, Explore and Exodus. They cater for a range of tastes, including the more comfortable trips it sounds like you want. Then all you have to do is show up at the start point and travel around with organised tour with other people.

I've been on a few and all we're excellent and can make more trips attainable on a smaller budget. Not sure whether they are really worth it in places as easy to explore on your own like eastern Australia, but it would take the hassle out of organizing t and deciding what to do if you don't like that sort of thing.

Alternatively just copy one of their itineraries if you like it!

Are you willing to say why? Lots of people want to leave and those that do always say about how great live is elsewhere.

Dunno, 3 year itch or something like that :p

Call me crazy but I miss the varied county accents, the ocean of football jerseys on Saturdays, crunchy snow under your feet in cold UK town centres on a wintry Sunday afternoon, old man pubs, the convenience of train travel, the location convenience of Europe on your doorstep, small villages steeped in history.

That type of thing. Now I know if I ever came back, I'd dislike all those things within 4 days of arriving, but I'd like to try again. At some point in the future anyway. Will stay here long enough to gain citizenship first. With Brexit and all that, it's always handy having another 'out' ... no pun intended.

never had much inclination to travel and never been beyond europe , i feel lucky to be where i am i take my nmd bodyboard around the beaches of cornwall on my 4 day weekends or hang out in a sunny cove on polly joke beach with my dogs (when im there, and its tourist free cant think of anywhere else id rather be )

I've often sat and thought about the opportunities I missed by not going travelling when I was younger.

I left school at 16 and skipped out any form of higher education and went straight into employment,
I did well salary wise in my late teens and could have easily afforded a one way ticket around the world in my early 20s, but for what ever reason it never entered my brain.

Now in my mid 30s, sat at my desk in a yard in cold, wet Manchester on a Monday morning buried in responsibility the idea I could be off around the world appeals to me greatly.

I think, for want of a less severe word, these "regrets" i've been having spurned me on to buy a little touring caravan.

While realistically I cant take it to see Angor Wat in Cambodia, I can get home on a Friday evening, back the car up, throw the wife and the dog in, hitch up and go on a little adventure for the weekend.

While I don't get to see some of truly epic sights the like of Asia and Indonesia have to offer, the view in my rear view mirror of that white, wobbly box bouncing around at the back of my car after a soul destroying week at work is, in my mind a close second.

TLDR; never been travelling, trying to stop the overwhelming feelings of regret and bitterness with a caravan :D

did this for many years before moving here 3 years ago but had a seasonal pitch in st agnes ,just thought why am i driving 6 hours to a place that makes me happy , work with people who have done the same we are all working for peanuts but have a rotating 4/3 day weekend that feels like a holiday everyweek

I went away for 8 months, visited 13 countries and have countless memories. My fiance and I regularly look back through our photos and talk about our times we had. Loved every single second. I think everyone should do it, it is an eye opening experience!

I'd love to go again.
