Ever used the report function on Facebook?

I've recently started receiving abusive messages from a rather bizarre individual over Facebook and I'm wondering if I would be wasting my time by using the report function.

Has anyone ever used this or know what happens if you do?

I've no idea. It's someone who isn't even on my friends list.

yeah i think it works, it did for a photo that i didnt want on there before. it was removed within 24hrs it was a photo i didnt particularly want my ex to see

Depends what you're reporting really.

Actual abuse will get looked at, whereas reporting people that are trolling groups for example won't result in anything happening.
