Everspace 2

Our free update, Incursions launches in a little under 3 hours, but just an FYI:

Hello pilots! We're getting everything in order with all final checks getting squared away for the launch in only about 3 hours from this post.

THE RELEASE IS UNCHANGED FOR MOST USERS. However, Game Pass users will need to wait a little longer.

It's not common but sometimes we hit the unfortunate snag; it brings me no pleasure that as of a mere 30 minutes ago it was discovered that the Game Pass version (being used either PC or XBox) must be temporarily delayed due to achievement and DLSS, FSR and XeSS upscaler issues. Rest assured, this delay has become our top priority to address and we seek to rectify the issue quickly. We will follow up when we have more information to share on this.

We appreciate your patience as we work hard to sort this out and get it out the door. Thanks for your understanding.

Frustrating, but we're pulling out all the stops to get this fixed ASAP.

The price getting closer for me to bite. Might pick it up around Xmas time if I get through BG3 and a few other games I want to play. Hopefully sub £20 by then. If I had nothing of interest to play now I would have picked it up though.

How did I miss this game!
:D

Looks stunning.
Plays stunning.

40hrs in and having a whale of a time playing arcade like space battles with some great game play using whatever ship design & style takes your fancy. It doesn't take itself too seriously, and is just great fun to play.
Leviathan update coming soon:

Yeah, I see videos online of 'the best space games you've never knew about' and then they talk about Everspace 2 that I bought early access and loved it to bits (mainly because I loved the first one but wanted it to not be a roguelike)

Welcome to the game!

TITANS will be along soon. Plus we're already working on another (bigger) expansion for next year. :D

I actually finally purchased this. Felt the price was right and it has had time to get enough polish. Though frame gen doesn't seem to be working properly and no native HDR..

But looks good and will be playing it once I am done with a couple of others I am playing right now.

Enjoy TNA. Let me know what you think.

Fixing antennas right now. Lol.

Not sure if it is because i play at night when i am kind of tired, but doing such missions does not give me that dopamine hit i am after. Maybe those missions should have been a bit later in the game.

Right now trying to figure out whats what with the weapon systems, what to upgrade etc.

So far I like the controls and graphics. Story is ok, missions ok.

Going to try and play ealier tomorrow and hopefully get fully sucked in ;D

With weapons & items, it's generally a good idea just to use what you pick up as you level as something that's maybe 3+ levels under your player level will start to become too weak against potential enemies you encounter. You can increase the level of existing items, but it does cost resources which you might not have, so using something that's dropped might be the better option. We're a looter shooter at heart after all. Also, keep a check on what's for sale in the shops/vendors as that's also a handy pathway to improve your gear if you have the credits.

Keep ploughing on with the main story too as that will start to unlock new options and you can level along nicely when doing so. Plus, if you want a challenge you can up the game difficulty, but whilst it doesn't affect loot drops, the enemies will be more accurate and do more damage to you, plus they have a bit more health but it's a personal challenge if you decide to do it.

The advantage of single player is you can stop at anytime and I heartily recommend you manually save often too in addition to the autosaves.

Reactions: TNA
@Gazanimal Does this game work with joysticks? Any good? Or better k&m?

Got a Turtle Beach Flight Deck HOTAS from Dicehunter on the forum about 18 months ago for flight simulation. I wonder if it would work well for this game :)

We do have HOTAS support. Not sure we have a profile for the Turtle Beach off the top of my head but you can manually set things in the “other” column in the settings.

It’s worth checking though to see how well it works for you as playing with a HOTAS/HOSAS can be very immersive but also not for everyone as we’re more arcade than a simulation game like Elite Dangerous for example.

We primarily designed the game for KB&M but included other options as we know some people love using HOTAS and controllers.
