I have my steam library view set to installed so I only have the games intend to play visible

Im guessing most of you have the view set to all games guess this will be a nice feature

This is the big news, the steam client updates (while cool) are incidental to the sneaky release of Source2 which is now powering Dota2 (with accompanying loading time reductions apparently)

Also, something found leaked in Jan was corroborated by the Source2 Dota tools release;

I thought that the speed of the Store page was down to your Internet speed? Feels about the same as before to me.

The rendering of the information, graphical elements is down to your netspeed yes. However I refer to UI redraws on the whole for steam. The entire thing when moving from section to section is very fast.

Why does Steam update so much, frigging annoying!

It just seems you change its category. Couldn't you do this anyway? just make a new category then dump all your old/rubbish games into it then minimise it?

I do this but the problem is the category sometimes expands itself again when you do a search(?) or something

Is there now any way to stop steam updating/ patching individual games?. All I can choose now is "only update when I launch it"
