Everybody's Golf (PS3)

My copy is here, having a quick go now before I go to work :)

PSN ID is Wyrdo if anyone wants to add me for a game. I have no idea how the online mode works, I'll have a look later.

its my first ever pre order, with GT5P and GT4 from an online supplier.

The missus thinks im putting up some shelves this w/e lmfao.

I am tracking the order and it shows its been packed on the 25th. so i hope it comes thursday so i can pick it up friday.

What a coincidence, my next door neighbour appears to be putting something up, if it's you then I can kindly offer to test Everybodys Golf out for you, free of charge :)

I had a look at the online and by the looks of it there is 100 lobbies setup which can host 50 players each. Most were empty yesterday (I am not sure if we share serves with Japan and USA etc).


I played the training mode last night. Great golf game tbh, for a casual fan like me.

Quick one, is everyone using the "basic" shots or the "advanced" shots. (The difference seems to be in what animation bars you have to time correctly when hitting the ball (if you see what I mean). i use basic as it is akin to older EG games as well as other golf games.

18 mins to install the game did annoy me, but the loads times in between holes etc is nigh on instantaneous, which is some consolation.

I may be online on this tonight.

I've been using the advanced shots as there seem to be some challenges that you can only do by using advanced mode. There doesn't seem to be any actual difference apart from a different way to take the shot.

The install was annoyingly long but like you said, everything is almost instant in the game once you're playing which is great.
 
i got this, sorting GT5 out 1st with the updates, then shall install this. may be on later tonight depends how tired i'll be because by 6.00pm tonight i will have been up 26 hours as worked all last night and stayed up for off chance off posty delivering today - which he did - but yep i will deffo want some matches online with this and GT5 Prologue over the weekend if not tonight

BTW i will use Basic setup, i prefer old traditional style

If I can get time I'll grab this too. Will have to re-add some of you to my friends list as I had a major 'I never seem to play with that person' removal session...
Anyway what's the verdict on the game so far chaps?

Been playing the demo to death :) Mrs was off into town and the demo was so addictive I told her to get this instead of GT5P...I figure this will be much more fun for the two of us to play...plus it lets the whole GT5P thing die down a bit cos it seems a bit mental right now. Anyway just wanted to say ...great great game (from what I've seen) - cuddly looks but quality gameplay...altho I really hope you can turn the 'music' off in the full game?!?! Once I'm up to speed I might venture online for the first time with this one methinks.
 
Had a pratice round and it simply oozes quality, this is what i brought my PS3 for, simply the best golf game on current gen consoles, nothing comes close, looks stunning and plays without a hitch, love it. Went into a online lobby also and spent 10mins sliding down banisters with my little wii lookalike, lol. One game that i'll keep for good till next edition thats for sure
 
JBECK, no its not me. No you cant borrow the game lol.

I did get this thursday and played it all night. I use the advanced shots too. Ive found it easy at the moment and came first on every game i have played so far :p

I dont like the challanges where you play 1 CPU player, takes too much time.

Im on the 3rd level now and keep playing the cowboy chap so have a fair few loyalty bonuses. Yes the music can be annoying but i still like the game.

This is one of those games you will never get bored of so i think its my best buy so far (GT5P is ready on the door mat now).

I really like the added 'film' clip at the end of every challange too, plus i love the part when you manage to set alight the golf ball when it spin on the green.

ps, i havent tried online yet either so may add a few of you over the W/E to play against.
