LOL not at all.... he's a funny guy and I started to get worried about my use of the french bint. Although I'd love to unlock all her kits. But the Japenese can hit the ball better TBH :o
 
Just had an awesome round on Okinawa on reg tees 11 under par! Including a 159 yrd chip in eagle :D

Brilliant game, I'm sure there has been some DLC courses brought out for the Jap version of this so hopefully we'll get them eventually.
 
Is there any way to enable the Japanese voices? My PSP version of the game was in Japanese, but the English VOs in this version are lame :(
 
I don't understand how people get anything better than a birdie. I just had a go and some man kept getting chip-in eagle, chip-in birdie. I was left in the dust.
 
You need to judge the slopes on the green take that into account when chipping as well as the wind and of course the power.

I got 3 chip in's on that -11 round I just mentioned. If the greens fairly flat (which on the first couple of courses they are) then it's not that hard really.
 
I did notice that all the top scorers in my game were using the traditional shots method. Is this better than the new advanced one?

I've only played the demo but from what I see the level of accuracy you have with your power meter in the traditional shots system is far higher than in the new advanced one, so it doesn't surprise me that most people are using it.

Its too difficult to judge exactly how much power you are applying in the advanced system.
 
I actually think that the advanced system is easier to use than the traditional method.;)
I can usually get more "dead-on" shots using the advanced system.
 
I tried the advanced round Crown Links but got annoyed because theres loads of bunkers round the greens that are below green level. When I was close I couldnt see where the line was going to stop it near the pin.

Any way round this?

Finally shot a sub par at Crown using traditional method. I've also beaten all the clallenges but still not sure if I can level higher than 11.
 
Had a few £££ left in my PS wallet, so thought I'd grab the Kratos and sackboy characters.
I go to do the update after loading the game for the firrst time in ages and it's taking AEONs! 10mins to get to 4%, literally!
It's not like the PSN is slow atm, the god of war 3 trailer came down at my full internet speed earlier on.
Looks like I'll have to leave it on all bloody night :mad:

I has the same problem, even leaving it on all night wasn't an option for me as the connection kept cutting out, luckily though it does resume, I think when I did it I needed 3 updates as well which took me an age to complete, not sure why this is the case as PSN is quite fast for me also.

Anyway this is a dam fine game, I've had more hours on this game than any other PS3 game.

Still got it and give it a quick play every few months. The online side of things has completely died now though which is a shame.
 
I have it and play it, love it. Favourite golf game on PS3, closely followed by Planet Minigolf which I confess to playing more of just lately.
 
It was one of those extremely addictive games that you can't put down. I played it for over a year straight. May get it out again soon.
 
Back when it was first released we had a few good weeks of online play on the forum, such a great game online. I was tempted to buy the Japanese version as seemingly their online service is still pretty busy, maybe with the Move control patch it might bring some people back.

edit - 35 people online in the EU, managed to get a few games though which were great.
