Welcome to the forums. Please read the faq and enjoy your stay.

Everything listed there is compatible, it'll work together with no issues at all.

Most threads on here which resemble this are asking for advice on component choices, so that's probably what you're going to get. I'm ill placed to suggest changes though, and only wish you all the best with the build.

If you're only looking to oc the cpu slightly, i'd question your choice to spend £64 on a cpu cooler

This will be more than adequate for 3.6GHz.

Titan Fenrir - £29

hi davie thanks for reply.
after google'in some reviews of heatsinks i thought this one would be nice to have so i have the option to overclock even higher in a few years time (or when needed) should hit 4ghz with no problem but i dont wanna push it untill needed. tbh il probly leave the chip @ stock 2.66ghz untill i get a game that needs the extra boost

I'm not so sure about the graphics card... if you like, you could send it to me and I'll make sure it's compatible ;):D.

well tbh im quite sure its compatible, i'm considering getting 2 x 5970's but im unsure about those.. maybe i should have the 5870 and il send the 2 x 5970's to you? if you think their no good/non compatible then u can keep em

Yeah man that would work. Anything I can do to help ya know? :D

(Or more seriously, everything looks good, go for it!)

n1 :)
im about a week away from ordering, then its new monitor time, ive had a 19" crt since 2001!
gonna go for the new acer 23.6" 120hz 3D. its on pre-order atm. ive heard it will be avi from the 22nd jan onwards

cant wait :D

Literally the only thing I would comment on is the PSU if you were even half serious about pumping in 2 or more of the higher powered graphics cards... though I'm half hoping you're not that rich lol!

If you're sticking with the spec you initially posted, the PSU you have in there would be absolutely spot on.

Good luck with the build! :)

yeah il be adding another 5870 when there cheap as chips :) (<£200)
originally i was gonna go with a 750-850 psu but was advised that the hx650 would be enough as its good quality, (lots of amps (52a) on the single 12v rail and made by seasonic)
but i know i want a nice quiet system = i dont want anything (fans) near to maxing out.. so il probly go for a bigger psu of the same quality... for the extra 20-30 £ on a £1400 system it would make sense...
unless others think a hx650 is enough????
