I am not so sure about DF-85 case, but with my old Antec 1200(which is similar in design), not all 240mm RADs will fit the rear 2 x 120mm fans!
Some would make the side panel to not close properly and some would make contact with the GPU!
So I placed my RADs at the front and at the top.
There are few pics in my build log(in the sig below)
You have to look at this as 120+360 RADs not 120 for CPU and 360 for GPU.
(Does the liquid from one component stop at a RAD to cool down and then move to the next component? - NO!)
Liquid will(should) continue to flow and in time the temps will come to its equilibrium.
What matters is the total amount of RAD space available to cool the components you have.
EDIT:
Order of components in a loop matters very little (RES has to be before PUMP for ease of priming), apart from that, make your loop to be the easiest or neatest way you can. Temp difference from having RADs between heat sources and having the neatest tube routing is minmal(1-2C at best).
Would you say it's worth replacing the top two fans with a couple of NZXT 11 Blade Rifle Bearing Red LED then have the 360 rad under and three GT1850's under
or should I just get rid of them completely and have 6 GT1850's
EDIT: I'm ordering everything on Friday 21st, so expect questions until then
EDIT:
Oh after reading it slowliy for the 3rd time I think I get it
Do you want to know which one is silent from the Pump top and bay res?
If that is the case then I am no use to you, because I have only used tube res's with pump tops. My D5 with the top is pretty much inaudible at setting 3!(I am sitting about 1 feet away from the PC)AT setting 5 I can almost hear it. But I Have to say that my pump is suspended with tubing from the tube res.
I have it all fitted, and its running nicely (CPU doesn't go above 45c during gaming and GPU doesn't go above 35c during gaming)
however i think there is some air in the rad I cant seem to get out :s
It runs nicely and smoothly while the pc is running, but if I switch it off, when I switch it on i hear noises (Sounds like small bubbles) from the rad and small bubbles go into the res from the rad.
I also cant seem to fill the res up fully, will this make a difference when i move it around?
