The biggest problem with Nvidia's new manufacturing and sales attitude is the fact that not much can be customised. All of the coolers replaced from the boards are stored away for duration of two years, or until the warranty expires
Funny, they have to buy the cards with the OEM heatsinks too, I would have thought you could just buy the card minus the HSF?

Peter Tersluisen, Daily production is usually around 15-30 boards
Hells Bells that guy must be knocking them out pretty fast because if he's working a normal 8 hour day then at full whck he can mod a board in 16 mins lol! :D (not including a lunch break).

So far, of all the cards manufactured under the Black Pearl moniker, there have been zero returns. Yup, you've read it correctly - zero per cent of 8800GTX boards came back, and previous generations bear very similar percentage numbers. In comparison, two per cent of all 8800GTX boards are returned for repairs or replacement (RMA).
If that is true then I'm impressed. Think I will have to get myself an EVGA at some point. I did buy a pair of their 8800GT SC's last week but had a change of heart and cancelled the order and picked up the Inno card.

What EVGA are doing here is a *valuable* service, sure most people don't mind overclocking themselves but in the event you get a stinker your stuck.

Easyrider> I thought all your doing is beating gtx's in 3Dmark, which is widely regarded as not being a reflection of real game performance anymore. I doubt your performing better than a gtx in with all the eye candy turned on per se. Don't want to cool your fire but reality check ;)

At 720/2044 at 1680x1050 I would argue that the GT is

That would not help a Core in any shape or form, only Memory.

The Ultra's Memory is Rated for 2500mhz DDR, it is undervolted and ran at 2160mhz DDR on normal Ultras and 2250mhz DDR on SC Ultras, you can get about 2400mhz DDR out of it without voltmods, so there would be little need to mess with Timings as its well under spec anyhow.
