Updated thermal pad installation guide from EVGA (includes VRAM pads)

If you still see the old one, remember to clear your "recent history" in your WEB browser. Otherwise you can end up looking like a TW@T like I just did on the EVGA forums, by moaning that it still links to the old guideMust be my advancing years and far too much alcohol (even if it is my birthday today)

Maybe I'm being silly, but how do we check the status of the where the pad requests are? I'm going to http://eu.evga.com/thermalmod/, and when I'm logged in, there is a status table that says "Awaiting Shipment". Is this the place to get get the right information?
Yep that's it, Just have to wait for it to change![]()
Just got through to EVGA, ended up diverted to USA customer rep.IvanDobskey said:I have been promised a refund and i have had my card over two months.

The EVGA rep said, they will only provide a full refund IF the card is bought from the EVGA store. Only way I'm going to get a refund is through the retailer and end up paying 10% restocking fee.
Only had the card for two weeks. Garbage.![]()
It's one rule for one person and another rule for another and I've had my card just two weeks. Basically it will cost me £55 to return it including postage, what an absolute joke.abdidas said:I was in a similar possition, although I didn't care for the refund cause I quite like the card just wanted a brand new one with all the fixes. I am sure you can get that as you are under 30 days.
Dear Sir or Madam,
The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013
13/10/2016 I ordered the following: EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 FTW Gaming Graphics Card. I received the goods on 17/10/2016 on Invoice No: *****
Return's No: *****
Please see attached documents, which refer to EVGA 1070/1080 graphics cards catching fire due to VRM's overheating, which is deemed not fit for purpose.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, I have a legal right to reject goods that are of unsatisfactory quality, unfit for purpose or not as described, and get a full refund. If a restocking fee is charged, I will take this up with trading standards due to the fact it's not fit for purpose and if that doesn't work, I'll pursue through the small claims court even at my own expense just to claim back the full amount.
Under the above Regulations, I would like to cancel the order and ask you to provide a full refund within 14 days.
Yours faithfully,
I must have been lucky as my 1070FTW runs cool but ive asked for the pads anyhow, god knows when it will be posted though.
Just wrote this up from a template and rewrote it as I see fit. I think this will do the trick.
