Just a quickie, couldn't find the info. If I remove the custom cooler (zalman) from EVGA 7600 GT as it's going back after getting an RMA for it, will they moan that it doesn't have a cooler attached or do I need to send the card with the zalman attached and lose it? Also, do they accept RMA's for cards that have the stock cooler removed?

Thanks!

Thanks, will do!

Although do they moan about the stock cooler being removed? I think I remember someone saying they actually doing void warranties when you install a 3rd party heatsink, but not sure...

I think EVGA are happy enough for you to put after market coolers on their cards without affecting your warranty or am I thinking of someone else?

I think Im right in saying EVGA are the only company that honour warrantys even if you have used a aftermarket cooler as long as you didnt damage the card when fitting it. But Id still replace the stock cooler just in case.

yup that's right, read it on their website today, as long as you don't damage the card and put the stock cooler back on before returning it to them you don't void your warranty

fine for watercooling gear too :)
