evga sc 660ti install issue

i did post this question in the evga thread but appears to be overlooked.

I received the card this morning and tried to install it but during boot up or when in bios, my screen goes blank.

I uninstalled previous card drivers and tried to use the method of disabling secure boot but for starters i dont have the option to disable it.

Im lost on how to solve this so any help appreciated

Is your mobo BIOS updated? Also, there is an EVGA sticky thread at the top of this forum for asking the EVGA reps for any problems.

Bios is up to date and did post it in the evga thread but no help

Have you tried a different PCI-E slot? At least you can work out if it is dead or not.

I think ive managed to sort it. As my system is watercooled and i had a block on my gtx 570, i automatically installed the block onto the 660ti and it was cutting out. I just replaced the cooler that was on the card and put it in without the water block and its working fine. I know the block is compatible with the 660ti as i checked. Strange how it wont work with it tho
