EVGA Software-Control For GPU Voltages

Have an exciting new utility to show today that is coming soon

A couple of facts:

* First version of this utility will support all EVGA GTX 260 65nm, 280 and 295 cards.
* Will work ONLY on EVGA graphics cards, and ONLY for EVGA registered users.

Check out the below example, a small VCore boost increases my clockspeed 100MHz!

EVGA GTX 295 Air Cooling

Standard Voltage (1038mV)
Max Clocks: 684MHz Core / 1476MHz Shader

Increased Voltage (1263mV)
Max Clocks: 783MHz Core / 1692MHz Shader

if EVGA can do this then perhaps other manufacturers can too and opens the way for Rivatuner etc to do so as well

I am sure the cards have a thermal throttle on them though so going crazy with volts will only cause crazy temps and thermal thorttling

I'm sure it will work for other cards as the cards are pretty much ref design just different coolers , i think its more to do with CHECK OUT OUR UTIL BUY FROM US AND USE IT!

It's got something to do with a particular type of voltage regulator that can be software controlled, hence why only particular cards are supported. Other manufacturers may have the same regulators, assuming eVGA have used the reference design. I guess you'll find out soon enough.
