has any one used the evga step up?
i want to know if i get a evga 260 gtx from ocuk can i ten step up to a 275 or 285 later on.

i have a 8800 gtx now.

The step-ups a rip off and not worth doing, as you have to go by EVGA's prices, and they are always a lot higher than the retailers, be a lot cheaper to sell the card you have and buy the one you want, plus it would hardly be an upgrade to a 275 or 285, be more like a sidegrade as the 260-216 isn't much slower than both, give it a bit of a clock and you'll have a 285 for nothing. :)

May want to drop them an email to see if this page is out of date. As the 275 is a newer card they may just not have updated the page but do include it in the step up program.

Agree with this. There has only being a few times when it has worked well for the user, usually when a mind blowing performance card comes out at a dirt cheap price.

For example I was able to step up from a 8800GTX 320mb to a 8800GT for no cost.

But these examples are few and far between and better to do what Loadsa suggests.

However you might get lucky occasionally.
