EVGA SuperNova P2 1600W '80 Plus Platinum

It's the same size as your old SF unit according to the specs.

I'll take a punt on 1900w before it taps out :)
Well i own Matt's old 1000w sf platinum, and iirc he stated that it tripped out at 1300w. Thankfully its having an easy life now running a 4.7ghz 4790k and mainly stock gtx 780's in sli. But id bet with the right mobo, (yes i want a maximus 6 extreme) it would handle tri sli 780's no bother. Iirc two cards oc'd pulled 740w max running firestrike, even then it was only for a few seconds on the combined test. Btw that includes my old 24" monitor in sig.

Yeah, I was talking about the 1300w Gold that replaced the one he sold you :)
That one tapped out at about 1600w, my 1200w Plat gave up at 1655w.
1900w may or may not be a slightly conservative guess for the EVGA.

I've had mine over 1700w :D

The P2?

Update, it did not pass the Sleeping Dogs final scene test. Conked out, not sure what wattage i was actually pulling im afraid, but it must have been over 1700W im guessing. Next time i will monitor it and see what happens. Looks like I'll still need that second psu.

The test of doom claims another victim...
Looks like my prediction was way off and it just goes to show how relatively awesome Superflower units are.

Btw, since I grabbed this 3970 off you, I haven't dared to attempt benching Sleeping Dogs with high clocks given how much more the CPU draws compared to a 2600k. I should probably have kept one of my spare psu's tbh... Oh well.

Yep, bit disappointing really. £275 spent and to be honest it's really not much better than my £140 Leadex 1300W Gold. Thems the breaks i guess.
