EVGA terminates relationship with NVIDIA

What do they have left to sell if they won't be making GPUs, do you think they will make the jump to AMD ?

No, they are not going to make GPUs for anyone cause their complaint about Nvidia is true for AMD and probably Intel as well - watch the gamersnexus video, Evga says Nvidia is making Evga lose hundreds of dollars on every GPU it sells and the way they are losing money would apply to AMD and Intel as well and that's why they want nothing to do with graphics cards anymore.

Graphics cards make up 80% of EVGAs business, the other 20% is power supplies

What happened to there motherboard business they used to around years ago because i had one, now in the uk anyway you don't see them much.

Don't they make motherboards too? Or is that a thing of the past?
As per the gamers nexus video motherboards represents about 2% of their business. By the sounds of it they will continue making them, but who knows at this point. Maybe they will end up being a major motherboard company, or maybe they will shut down completely.

AMD be like

Wow what a shame! EVGA have made some awesome cards over the years.

They must be in huge financial trouble to write off so much of their business. It seems like a crazy move.

If Nvidia is going to be dicks to their AIB partners I can see other AIBs walking away.

The undertone I picked up in that video seemed to be something along the lines of: nvidia wants to be apple and if that's true, why share their margin?

And then instead of them saying "we got dumped" they said "we dump you first!!!11"

I've finished watching the video and something doesn't add up. There is clearly information we are not being told.

You don't just close down a huge chunk of your business because you just want to spend more time with your family, especially while burning the bridge on the way out. I believe EVGA is run by a smart man (has he been running it since its founding?) and the job of the CEO is to steer the ship which means planning for the future. I just can't believe that they don't have a plan in place.
The timing is also very sus. 4 days from the launch of the next generation of cards. Really?

Could they be playing a game of russian roulette with Nvidia? Have they already got a partnership set up with AMD but need to keep it hush hush for legal reasons. All I know is something ain't adding up.

According to Jay he mentioned that the Evga 3090 Ti even at $1399 Evga mentioned they were apparently making a loss while the founders version was $1099, and I doubt Nvidia is making a loss on that as they don't have to buy the chips.

No business can compete by being massively undercut.
